LOCATION
Moving to a new area is always exciting. Let me guide you and show you all the nice places on Overhoeks. With the ADAM Tower, EYE Film Museum and Tolhuistuin as my neighbours and the city centre of Amsterdam only 5 minutes away by ferry, there’s never a dull moment. New encounters are literally just around the corner.

HOTSPOTS
CHATEAU KARLITO
Wine, gifts and jazz
If you’re looking for the best (natural!) wines and nice gifts, make sure to stop by Chateau Karlito. Owner Karlijn also spins some jazz records every Sunday as well.
DE VERBROEDERIJ
Living room of Noord
De VerbroederIJ is my home away from home. There’s always something to do and so many nice people to meet.
VAN DIJK EN KO
Vintage knickknacks
I can spend the whole day looking for nice antiques and unique little trinkets in Van Dijk en Ko. They also make furniture on demand from recycled wood. Love it!
BAR POMPET
Bar Pompet is best described as a festive settlement in a leafy corner of the Noorderpark. The terrace is the place to be. While the kids are having fun in the natural sandbox, on the lawn in front of the terrace or in the playground located further away, you order the most delicious drinks at the outdoor bar.
OVER HET WATER
Lot Douze “missed a place in Noord where you meet people and where the contacts go deeper than just daily chats.” So when the storefront at Van der Pekstraat 59 became available in 2013, she seized her chance. “I wanted to start a bookstore, but not a regular one.”
FROMAGERIE KEF
Bleu de Laqueille, Achelse Blauwe, Fourme d’ Ambert… If your mouth is watering right now, you are a real cheese connoisseur. If you still have no idea what this is about, then all the more reason to take a look at Abraham Kef. This fromagerie on Van der Pekplein is the place to treat your taste buds.
